Implementing resource efficiency projects has enabled Marriott Construction to realise cost and environmental benefits at a construction site in Milton Keynes. The benefits include: £14,000 saved through the re-use of demolition material on-site; improving waste management practices through segregation helped to achieve a zero-to-landfill target, saving over £20,000; alterations to building design reduced plasterboard waste generation; £18,000 saved through low-cost, water efficiency measures; and ducting offcuts re-used by a local charity.
