Advice for companies in Reading to cut costs and maximise profits

A free opportunity for businesses to learn how to reduce costs and increase profits is coming to Reading on 16th September.

A team of experts from the government-funded sustainability body Envirowise will deliver advice about how to get the most out of managing resources to reduce cost and increase efficiency at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre next month.

As well as receiving advice from the speakers, delegates will also have the opportunity to get practical help from Envirowise at drop-in clinics, take part in workshops covering topics such as water efficiency and Environmental Management Systems, and enjoy a networking lunch.

Lisa Mattsson, South East Regional Manager for Envirowise said, "The current economic situation underlines the importance of businesses in the region taking action to tackle waste – a direct line can be drawn between taking this sort of action and saving money.

"This Envirowise event is an excellent opportunity to look at how making changes to business practice can have a positive environmental and therefore financial impact on the bottom line."

The event runs from 9.30am to 2.15pm on 16th September. Companies can register online at www.envirowise.gov.uk/Reading or by contacting Jagi Sangha at jagi.sangha@envirowise.gov.uk.
